It has been a long time since my last English blog post. The reason for this is that I decided to only continue blogging in German. I would have loved to continue writing in both languages, but it is twice as much work and the response to my English blog was unfortunately very little.
So, if you want to read or see more about this blog, check out Avilia’s Way in German. You can try to use google translate/figure out the texts or just enjoy the pictures 😉
If you decide not to follow me anymore, I totally understand. I want to say thank you for the interest in my blog and veganism!
I wish you all the best!
Yaaay, exam done and semester done! Now I can focus fully on Christmas – my first vegan Christmas 🙂 Today we went to the Christmas Market in Mannheim and picked up some last Christmas presents. Tomorrow I’ll go to my parents’ house and it’ll be vegan-Christmas-cookie baking time 🙂 There I’ll find all the kitchen utensils one could hope for and lots of space for baking! I will let you know what I baked and how it worked out.
Due to my exams I didn’t manage to write you a Saint Nicholas post 😦 I hope you had a great day, though! Apparently we have been good, because the generous St. Nicholas (alias Mum 😉 ) left a few things for us: Read the rest of this entry
A highlight of the week was on Monday and Tuesday night – Chili sin Carne:
(it’s great for leftovers, because it tastes even better the next day!)
At the end of last week we had zucchini rolls with a pumpkin filling, Read the rest of this entry
Hey you guys!
Unfortunately, I can only write a short blog post today for the first advent, and can’t present awesome Christmassy advent recipes like many of the other wonderful (vegan) bloggers. I’m now approaching the final stage of my exam preparation, only one week to go till my exam!
Nevertheless, I want to wish you all a beautiful first advent and a wonderful advent time!
I received no less than two incredibly awesome advent calendars this year that are going to sweeten up my advent time! 🙂 Since last year was Read the rest of this entry
Today without preface 😉
matcha chia pudding with blueberries
matcha chia pudding with blueberries
After waking up and having a 10 minute meditation session, I had some nice breakfast: matcha chia pudding with blueberries. Although the pudding could’ve been creamier, I liked it even better than when I tried it last time (you can find my last chia pudding and some information about chia seeds here).

„Every meal counts […] towards positive balance – not only in order to stay young, but also for the world we live on. Vegan is anti-aging for body cells and the planet!” (Translated, Vegan for Youth – Attila Hildmann)
“Vegan for Youth” is a German cookbook/dietbook that was just published. It will be released in English-speaking countries in March 2014. If you want to lose weight, get healthier and look younger, you can do this 60-day-challenge where you only eat the recipes from the book. 60 days without animal products, sugar, white flour, preservatives, fast food… It has never been easier. A glance – here – into the preview shows you that this is not a usual diet 😉 (the preview is in German but the pictures should show you all you need to see 😉 )

As well as a new diet (along with freshly squeezed juices) you should Read the rest of this entry
As per usual around exam time, I didn’t manage to write another blog post since last Vegan Wednesday due to stressful studying – sorry! But this week there will definitely be another post!
Well, it’s not that studying in itself is the stressful part! If I didn’t have to waste so much time struggling with my inner self, it wouldn’t be nearly as bad.
…Anyway, continuing 🙂
There’s some news about Vegan Wednesday: 1st the organizers are looking for new pinners and 2nd the rules were ‘loosened up’ a little. The participants are now allowed to show highlights from their last weekdays (excepting Saturday/Sunday), rather than only what they ate on Wednesday. Further information you’ll find here (in German).
The change of rules are just right for me! Reason being; on Monday we ate something real nice that I want to show you:
Gyros out of soy meat with tzatziki, baked potatoes and couscous salad. That was so delicious and amazing!: After marinating the soy-meat, it acquires this kind of delicious meat-like skin… who, in all honesty, still needs to eat animals when you have alternatives such as these?
I forgot to take a picture of my breakfast, but the rest of the meals I had today I can show you, on Vegan Wednesday – despite the rule changes. (For breakfast I had muesli – see Vegan Wednesday #5)
