Yaaay, exam done and semester done! Now I can focus fully on Christmas – my first vegan Christmas 🙂 Today we went to the Christmas Market in Mannheim and picked up some last Christmas presents. Tomorrow I’ll go to my parents’ house and it’ll be vegan-Christmas-cookie baking time 🙂 There I’ll find all the kitchen utensils one could hope for and lots of space for baking! I will let you know what I baked and how it worked out.
Due to my exams I didn’t manage to write you a Saint Nicholas post 😦 I hope you had a great day, though! Apparently we have been good, because the generous St. Nicholas (alias Mum 😉 ) left a few things for us: Read the rest of this entry
As per usual around exam time, I didn’t manage to write another blog post since last Vegan Wednesday due to stressful studying – sorry! But this week there will definitely be another post!
Well, it’s not that studying in itself is the stressful part! If I didn’t have to waste so much time struggling with my inner self, it wouldn’t be nearly as bad.
…Anyway, continuing 🙂
There’s some news about Vegan Wednesday: 1st the organizers are looking for new pinners and 2nd the rules were ‘loosened up’ a little. The participants are now allowed to show highlights from their last weekdays (excepting Saturday/Sunday), rather than only what they ate on Wednesday. Further information you’ll find here (in German).
The change of rules are just right for me! Reason being; on Monday we ate something real nice that I want to show you:
Gyros out of soy meat with tzatziki, baked potatoes and couscous salad. That was so delicious and amazing!: After marinating the soy-meat, it acquires this kind of delicious meat-like skin… who, in all honesty, still needs to eat animals when you have alternatives such as these?
I forgot to take a picture of my breakfast, but the rest of the meals I had today I can show you, on Vegan Wednesday – despite the rule changes. (For breakfast I had muesli – see Vegan Wednesday #5)

In the style of my „Happy World Vegetarian Day“ post I would like to show you today how the vegan movement is looking at the moment and want to give all vegans out there (including myself 😉 ) a little hope!
A lot is going to change, it is already changing and you are all contributing to this! The world is not only bad, because you make it better with every purchase, every meal, every conversation ❤ It is not only a trend, but a movement! Thanks to the many activists, authors, organizations that speak up for animals, the vegan companies and all other companies that expand their vegan products, a lot of people are confronted with the vegan lifestyle and getting started to think.
There are only a few studies on the amount of vegans, but I found a few estimated numbers: Read the rest of this entry
Time passes so quickly! Another week has gone by and it’s once again Vegan Wednesday 🙂 (Here’s the board from last week)
Today my boyfriend and I really indulged ourselves with delicious vegan food 🙂
We had small cinnamon rolls for breakfast. I baked them last night and had already tried some fresh from the oven. But I have to say; this morning I liked them even better cold!
